Kiltearn Free Church – Our Aims

Kiltearn Free Church, Evanton, Scotland - Our Aims

WE PREACH CHRIST CRUCIFIED

This statement unashamedly reflects our core belief in the aim of a true gospel, bible-believing church.

We believe that the Bible impacts every area of our lives and addresses every individual who comes under the sound of a true-hearted gospel preacher. This means that gospel ministry in our congregation aims to be powerful, personal and life-changing, not only to the believer but also to the unbeliever.

Our pledge to you is that in attending any of our worship services we will aim to bring before you the call of the gospel to faith and repentance and the demands of Scripture for holiness of life.

We believe that the Christian's worldview is a view of the world in necessary relation to the Lord Jesus and that consequently all gospel teaching is bound up with the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ; every biblical doctrine bears a relation to him.

The context of our gospel preaching is gospel worship; "those who worship God must worship him in spirit and in truth". God has instituted his own worship therefore we praise God from his own hymnal, the book of Psalms.

Under God, we aim to promote true-hearted Reformed ministry and caring Christian witness adhering to the Word of God and the standards of the Westminster Confession of Faith.
