The great sins of King David

The following 2 sermons were preached on the Sabbath mornings of the 3rd and 10th of May. They are a sad and solomn reminder to us that even the most blessed of the saints of God can backslide into gross sin and although The Lord is merciful, such sins can be a blight on our lives until the day we die.

The text is 2 Samuel 11:25…Then David said unto the messenger, Thus shalt thou say unto Joab, Let not this thing displease thee, for the sword devoureth one as well as another: make thy battle more strong against the city, and overthrow it: and encourage thou him.

Let not this thing displease thee

The following text is 2 Samuel 11:25…And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die. (This recording contains the entire service).

I have sinned against the LORD
