Your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.

The following sermon was preached at the prayer meeting on the 3rd of June, 2009. “Certain aspects of Christian assurance…John deals with..the objective evidences of what it means to be a Christian. How do we live? How do we actually weigh with the Bible?..Whether we feel anything, in a sense, (at a given point in our lives), or not…do we actually conform with the standard of the Bible?”

The text is 1Jo 2:12-14…I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake. I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father. I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.
