I will arise and go to my father

The following sermon was preached by Rev. Calum I. Macleod on the Sabbath Evening, 9th of August, 2009. Jesus said, “him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.” This wonderful truth is the meaning of the parable; that the heart of God The Father is filled with compassion for sinners. A change began to take place in the heart and mind of this young man and he took action. The Prodigal repented and returned to the Father and the Father received him. Always in repentance, there is faith; that belief that God is merciful. Have you come to this change of heart? Many come to the place where they see their need but will go no further. This sermon is an encouragement to you; to arise and return to your heavenly Father.

The text is Luke15:18… I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee

I will arise and go to my father
