Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.

The following sermon was preached by Rev. Calum I. Macleod on the Sabbath Evening 25th October 2009. A sermon under three headings: A word of condemnation; A word of revelation; A word of invitation. Do you believe that you have a right to decide whether or not to obey Jesus? The truth is that Christ demands a response from you. Christ pronounced Woes upon the cities that did not repent at his coming. The Gospel was foolishness to them, it was hidden from the eyes of these worldly-wise, Christ-rejectors but it was revealed unto babes; to the lowly in heart and those who were troubled by the burden of their own sin. Dear friend, do you labour under the condemning weight of your guilt before a holy God? If you know that you are a sinner, Christ invites you to come to Him. “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

The text is Matthew 11:26…Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.
