Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith

The following sermon was preached by Rev. David Fraser, Minister of Shettleston, at the Monday Evening Communion, thanksgiving service on the 29th of June, 2009. Lifestyles! What kind of lifestyle do you have? Do you have a lifestyle that is looking unto Jesus, in which you are drawing near to Him or a lifestyle in which you are drawing back? Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, (Heb 10:22) This is the recommended way and it is demanding but it is rewarding.

The text is Heb12:2…Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation

The following sermon was preached by Rev. David Fraser, Minister of Shettleston, on the Sabbath Evening Communion service on the 28th of June, 2009. The moment you were born into this world you were under a curse and the judgement of God and there was no possible way, on your own, to escape this inheritance of Adam’s ruined race. But, Christ saw our fearful and tragic position and He has achieved a glorious remedy, a means to reverse it all. Dear friends, this remedy is offered to you in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The text is Heb2:3…How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him.

How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation
