For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son

The following sermon was preached by Rev. Calum I. Macleod on the Sabbath Morning, 30th of May, 2010.

The text is Romans… 8:28-30… And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son

being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

The following sermon was preached by Rev. Calum I. Macleod at the Wednesday night prayer meeting, 10 of March, 2010. We often judge our standing with God on the basis of how we feel but this is folly. Because, it is by faith that we are justified in the sight of God. Our feelings and moods toward God will change like the wind but faith in Christ is something we either possess or do not possess. This sermon looks at the background to why we needed to be justified by God. Secondly, at he basis upon which God chose to justify sinners (which was His everlasting love for sinners). And, finally, the blessings that flow to us from God on account of the fact that we are now justified and made righteous before Him.

The text is Romans 5:1…Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
