The following sermon was preached by Rev. Calum I. Macleod at the Wednesday night prayer meeting on the 1st of July, 2009. The Lord’s promise; “I am with you alway”, doesn’t mean that we are always aware or conscious that He is with us. When The Lord was asleep in the boat during a storm on the Sea of Galilee; the disciples ran to wake Him up saying, “Master, carest thou not that we perish?” He was there with them all along but they had given way to unbelief. This sermon is an exposition of this wonderful promise. We may not always feel the sunshine of The Lord’s prescence but we rest upon His word; knowing that even when we pass through the valley of the shadow of death no one else can come along with us but He will be there.
The text is Mat 28:20… Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
